The Engineering Experiment Station (EES) is the research support office for the College of Engineering, providing pre-award services for the College of Engineering and its interdisciplinary centers and programs. These services include identification of potential sponsors, preparation of proposals and budgets, and monitoring of conflicts of interest. EES also acts as a liaison for faculty members, negotiates contracts and grants, and prepares award information for transfer to the post-award officers for project management.
Additionally, EES is responsible for fiscal and human resource services for the interdisciplinary centers under EES. These centers are:
- Center for Automotive Research and Intelligent Transportation (CAR-IT)
- Center for Industrial Sensor and Measurements (CISM)
- Engineering Research Center for Net Shape Manufacturing
- Center for Advanced Polymer Composite Engineering (CAPCE)
- Center for Accelerated Maturation of Materials (CAMM)
The following programs are also under EES:
- Center for Air Worthiness Assurance (AACE)
- MicroMD Laboratory
- Nuclear Reactor Lab (NRL)
- Ohio State Carbonation and Ash Reduction (OSCAR)
- Transportation Research Center of Ohio
